"Dreams" – an artbook by the cult Italian artist Jessica Choffy, known by the pseudonym Loputyn, who has created the incredibly beautiful graphic novels "Cotton Tales" and "Frances".
"Dreams" is a journey through the magical and allegorical world of Loputyn. It contains the best color illustrations, where reality shifts into dreams, and the pristine beauty of nature contrasts with the refined and cruel creations of human hands.
Delicate facial features – and a monstrous grimace, thin fingers clasped in supplication – and flesh-ripping claws, bright sadness – and black hatred. Contradictory and so alluring images weave into a single canvas. Thus dreams are born…
Illusory-ephemeral images of Loputyn virtuously combine the concise graphics of Japanese manga with the lightness and airiness of European watercolor drawing, giving rise to truly mesmerizing images.
Among the artist's favorite themes are witchcraft, mysticism, and the feminine principle.
This artbook will also delight fans of "Cotton Tales". A separate chapter contains illustrations that did not make it into the official publication.
"Dreams", like other books by Loputyn published by "Oxygen", is printed on coated paper and will make a wonderful gift for connoisseurs of beauty.
