Natsume Soseki (1867-1916) is a recognized classic of Japanese literature, the author of novels that have become not just a calling card of a generation, but also a model prose written in contemporary Japanese language.
The popularity of Soseki is evidenced by the fact that his novel "Kokoro" is still the best-selling classic work in Japan.
This new collection, where you will find previously unpublished works in Russian, will show Natsume Soseki from an unexpected side - not only as a literary giant and novelist but also as a master of short prose, as well as an extraordinary haiku poet, who can perhaps be placed alongside his friend and teacher Masaoka Shiki. Almost half of the book is occupied by the story "Kusamakura" ("Head of Grass"), the title of which refers to the ancient Japanese tradition of poetic wanderings, to which we invite you to embark right now.
